RECTEM Gets New Governing Council, Ex-OGITECH Rector Emerges Chair

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has inaugurated a new Governing Council for Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management (RECTEM), Mowe, Ogun State, with Prof. (Mrs.) Olufunke Olanike Akinkurolere emerging as Chairman.

Prof. Akinkurolere brings to the role an extensive record in technical education, having previously served as Rector of the Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa. Her appointment places a seasoned polytechnic administrator at the head of the College’s governing body at a formative stage in its development.

Members of the new Council

Serving alongside the Chairman are:

  • Mr. Olowookere Femi Samuel, Secretary
  • Arc. (Dr.) Oladunni Izobo-Martins
  • Prof. Ayodele Thomas Odunlami
  • Dr. Oluyemi Akanbi Clement Odutola, FCA
  • Pastor Olabode Olusegun Ajibode, FCA
  • Pastor (Mrs.) Adenike Olagbenjo Adeyelu, FCIPM
  • Barrister Oluyemi Sunday Oyeinka

The membership draws together academic leadership, chartered accountancy, human resource practice, legal expertise and pastoral experience, reflecting the breadth of oversight the College requires as it grows.

Remarks at the inauguration

Speaking at the inauguration, Prof. Akinkurolere thanked the leadership of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for the confidence placed in the new Council, and acknowledged the work carried out by the Transition Committee that preceded it.

What the Council does

The Governing Council provides strategic oversight for the College. It guides operations, takes decisions on direction and policy, and upholds RECTEM’s commitment to academic excellence, ethical standards and community engagement, in line with the mission to produce skilled, character-driven graduates in science, technology and management.
